  1. It's great to hear how people are standing for what they believe in and won't let anyone get in there way. Malala is a good role model for young women in the world. It's sad how the Taliban shot her in the head and are justifying their cause with Qu'ran.

  2. I'm happy for her. She deserves the award for all that she has done for women's rights in Pakistan. It's sad that she died fighting for a cause that she firmly believed in. I think I can speak for all of us when I say that I'm proud of what she's accomplished in her life and hopefully whoever's responsible for her death will be caught.

  4. This can go under sacred time I guess. A lot of people, including myself, tend to take their education for granted, so it's alarming to remember that not everyone has the same opportunity. I say Malala getting a Nobel Prize is a sacred time because it shows how despite hostilities towards her and her endeavors, she still carries on her message. It can be connected to Jesus and how he continued to spread God's word despite persecution from the Romans and even his fellow Jews. Malala inspires women around the world (as well as men) the same way Jesus inspired his disciples to stand up for their beliefs.

  5. I feel that the girls are putting too much faith and beliefs in one person. When a person says that they wanna be like a person, there not being there own person. They should take their image and change it into your own. I like that she is fighting for educational rights.

  6. I think Malala is a brilliant person that fights against the violence for people who are voiceless and can't stand up. I also think there shouldn't be any more fights related to the abuse or mistreating in anything including education. The purpose of life is not only for the abuse or violence, but is about the process of seeking the happiness and peace.

  7. I feel that she's one of the people that will go down in history as one of the great human right's activists. But I believe that the vioence will still go on no matter what the religous text they use to justify their cause.

  8. Malala's a legend. It's good to see someone fight for other's rights; especially in a time of crisis. It's sad that she ended up dying. Though, I pray for her and her family. It's good that she survived that gunshot. It must be a miracle from God. Let's all hope that the Taliban would be washed out of this earth for good.

  9. It's nice to see someone stand up for what they believe in. Malala is a great role model for women all over the world in standing up for her rights, to the point of getting shot in the head. It just shows how much she believes her rights. I also think the Nobel Peace Prize was well deserving. However, it's also sad how the Taliban are trying to use the Qu'ran ito defend their violent actions.

  10. I think that people need to stop finding excuses to kill or abuse others. Religion shouldn't allow others to use their power in order to abuse or hurt anyone with a valid excuse.

  12. It is a good sign that Malala's work in Pakistan is being recognized, and that hopefully the international community will do their part to aid with her work, and change the public opinion in Pakistan about women's education. With that said, it may take a long time, as the idea of women being housewives only isn't just a Taliban philosophy, but also a deeply rooted cultural norm in many countries in that area.

  13. To me this event is shocking to me because a women was treated to so poorly because she encouraged young girls and fought the right for them to get an education. It's disappointing to see people so heartless human beings on the world that they would shot a girl in the head because she wants the best for women

  14. Malala is a great inspiration to any one. Standing up for her rights as a human, every one has the right of knowledge. Even though the Talaban was an obstacle in her path of success in trying to get the education that she rightfully deserves, she never let them get in her way. She conquered that, and was willing to move countries to fulfill her dreams of getting the education she rightfully deserves, with thousands of people supporting her and praising her courage.

  15. She is absolutely brave woman. We all need to remember her for what she has done for this world to fight for the women's rights and the true love of religion. People who are causing all the conflicts need to learn many things from her in order to contribute on making this world more peaceful. Her death was not in vain, she sacrificed her life for all human beings and her life was totally meaningful.

  17. Malala is an inspiration to so many people including myself; every time I hear about her I think about how privileged we are to have the opportunity of getting a good education so each of us can do what we want with our lives. We take education for granted and complain about it but Malala reminds us that not everyone is as fortunate as we are and not everyone can get an education like we do.

  18. Malaya is an inspirational figure to people all around the world who want an education, but are being repressed in some way which denies them this. She brought attention to an issue that people don't like to think about and forced others to feel the need to offer assistance.

  19. I had previously heard of Malala's story, what she has done and what she is doing now. Her story inspires me to stand up for what I believe in and to strive and work hard for what I want to be achieved. In my opinion, if there were more people in the world who worked for her cause, the world would become a better and more free place to live in, and many of the injustices would be solved.
