Javad and Simon's Post!!!

Unfortunately, the group had problems. So i decided to help them out! Here's their group post, guys! :

This video was about the gun shot at a nightclub at 1:00AM. 15 people wounded, including the teenagers. This relates to the religion because nowadays, the law doesn’t impact the people that much. Furthermore, this applies to commandment #6 (Thou shalt not murder). God doesn’t want us to kill other people. However, this is a sad reality that people take other people’s lives, which they don’t think is enough for the one’s value of life.

  1. I believe this video falls under the category of practices and beliefs because this event can be portrayed as breaking the commandments sent forth from God. One of the commandments is not to kill and these shooters shot up a club full of innocent people. I am just in awe that people would do these types of things. It seems like today, guns have been in more crimes than before and it's just been increasing of crime with a deadly weapon.

  2. I found this video to be heartbreaking. Fifteen innocent teens shot and wounded for no reason. This is exactly what God tells us NOT to do, kill or injure others. This man deliberately disobeyed God's word and should be ashamed. I pray that the victims heal and get better.

  3. This is a sad event in where young lives were taken away due to the carelessness of others fighting and wanting to kill each other which is breaking one of the Ten Commandments which is thou shall not kill. Innocent blood has been spilled and people have to pay for their crimes.

  4. It’s sad to think how people try to murder others for their personal needs. In the commandments, it says ‘thou shall not kill.’ Unfortunately, people don’t listen to this. It not only harms the victim but it harms the people involved as a community. People kill for many things (money, power, anger, etc.); which is unreasonable. God wants us to love others, especially enemies. Though, it is still something that is debated up until today, especially if you’re in the army.

  5. This video is an example of a violation of the principles and beliefs of Judaism, in the form of the 10 commandments. God explicitly says not to kill people, but people still do it everyday, and this video is an example of a quite senseless instance of it happening. I hope whoever did the shooting can come to terms with what they've done, and stop themselves from committing anymore needless violence.

  6. This video is so sad and also to think this happens in our own country, its aweful. The fact that people go out and kill others just because they maybe want to or just because they have a grudge or enemies, they still have no right to kill someone or take their life away from them.

  7. I think this video shows what happens in our country and that it can happen to anybody. It is just sad that teenagers were put in this situation, any time where a child or teenager gets shot, or is shooting is not what I believe in. No one has the right to ever take another mans life.

  8. I found the video very sad; it was just someone mindlessly killing other people. It connects to Judaism because one of the 10 commandments is not to kill another person. Also, if they don’t know who killed the people, why in the simulation do they just assume the shooter is black? Seems racist, even if true.

  9. I think that this event would go under the "belief and practices" category, not for following them, but breaking it. In the 10 Commandments, it says not to murder one another. I don't think anyone died during this shooting, but the intention to kill was still there. The shooter broke this sacred commandment. Another belief he (I think they identified the shooter as a man) broke is kind of an unspoken one. Throughout history, the Jewish people united together in the face of disaster. Neither the shooter nor the victims may be Jewish, but the belief of unity has not been followed. Not unless your definition of unification is injuring a total stranger.

  10. This is a sad and unnecessary event. Teens getting shot and wounded for no good reason. I Agree with my peers in that this goes against a common belief that most people have, treat people the way you want to be treated. I hope the teens and their families are okay and that the shooter gets a punishment to go along with the crime he committed.

  11. This is really tragic and disaster video. The shooter is totally evil since he shot bunch of innocent people in club who are trying to just enjoy their time, and he even shot the little child as well. It feels really sad to see that people shot/kill another people for no reason, and this is not what God wants us to do. We should not do this terrible thing. Our family, friends, and teachers are going to suffer as well if we get shot. Moreover, I will say that we should not kill people even though they are our big enemy, since God told us to love our enemy as well as our neighbors.

  12. I am always sickened by mass shootings. To murder one person is a tragedy, but sometimes understandable, perhaps the person was brought to kill by rage or passion. To kill and harm massed people, who have done nothing, is an horrific evil, that cannot be explained. Only madness motivates someone, someone once human, to deal death to masses (and some of them only children!). The actions of this hollow can only be called a blatant disregard of the sanctity of human life held dear by many religions, including Judaism and Christianity, which hold true the 10 commandments

  13. While this does break one o the ten commandments there is not enough information of the shooters to determine whether they have turned away from God or not. They could be part of any religion, and while most religions do consider murder to be a horrible act you should never commit, that doesn't mean the shooters turned against the Christian God. We also do not know if the shooters were mentally ill in any way, For all we know they could have been mentally ill in a way that prevents them from knowing right from wrong, in this case they haven't really sinned since it was, due to their mental state, unintentional sinning (they didn't know better).

  14. This unnecessary event caused pain in the hearts of many and the shooters should pay for their crime. It is unfortunate that so many innocent bystanders were hurt by this incident.

  15. It is sad that these sorts of crimes are steadily increasing and that citizens do not follow the law. In my thoughts, if someone were to not follow the government's law, then they will surely not follow the laws of the Church, faith, or God.

  16. This video was upsetting because its bothersome to know that people can be so heartless and ignorant. The people shooting had no right what so ever do this act. To me I think that this shooting had to do with gang member or gang affilated. This might have even been and intiation for someone. But either way this was wrong and they hurt multiple lifes and they simply didnt care. This was so wrong and its sad because as a religious person you know this isnt what God wanted.

  17. It's really sad that sorts of crimes are really increasing, and the citizens don't follow the law if people aren't following the law right now you reall think there going to follow laws of church.

  18. News like this saddens me because it just shows how this world can drive people crazy enough to take the life of another human life. Granted, things like this will never disappear because it is in the nature of humans to argue and disagree with one another, some people just take it further than others. Our urge to argue comes from our ability to think for ourselves and think for ourselves, which is a good thing. The thing that I find the most disturbing about this article is that there were teens in this nightclub that got shot. Why were they even allowed in there in the first place?

  19. This is a heartbreaking story and it's sad that people would still do this. Killing another human being is one of the worst things one can do and the fact that they still do it shows how insane one can be
